Bridge End

Previously two small railway cottages built to house railway workers from 1867 onwards, they would have been solid cottages of standard construction with a living room, kitchen and 2 small bedrooms, it is unlikely that they had indoor bathing or toilet facilities, a tin bath in front of the fire and a privy down the garden would have met these needs. The occupants changed quite regularly indicating the changing face of the railways across the country and the need for mobility in the workforce. Local residents remember residents who followed on including Mr Archer, Viv John and Glyn and Esther Davies
