Leicester House
It is said that Thomas Bowen, great
grandfather to Evelyn Griffiths (nee Bowen) built Leicester House and the rest
of the row as far as Dole House using slate from Llangammarch quarry. When he
died he left each of his children (4 daughters and 1 son) a house. Over time
the shop was a doctors surgery, a butchers shop and a library
